How I Started

It all began my freshman year of high school when I took a photography class as an elective. I learned the basics of photography and composition and was able to capture my first photos on a real camera! After taking that class, my love for capturing real/raw moments only grew larger. A couple of years later I was able to get my hands on my first DSLR, where I rallied my friends and begged them to let me take their photos. Some of which you'll see here on my site & instagram @takenby_cait! I would take pictures of anything in my sight that caught my eye. Whether that be a gorgeous landscape while driving through town, planes in the sky, or a stunning sunset on a summer night.

How it's going

I began feeling more confident in my skills and starting taking on clients in 2025 as a side-hustle to my full time job. What started as a creative hobby has grown into one of my favorite ways to connect with people, telling their stories through photos they’ll actually want to look back on. I get to capture everything from golden-hour portraits to cozy family moments, and every session reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. When you book with me, you can expect lots of hype, some laughs, and a super chill vibe. I’ll guide you through everything so you never feel awkward, and we’ll end up with photos that look like you (but with bomb a$$ lighting).
